Because I am intensely, almost obsessively fascinated by leather and leathercraft for their own sake. Moreso than even most other craftsmen I know. The primary reason I sell my work is to allow me to do more of it.
This means I will give you a more bespoke experience, more custom options, better materials, more thoughtful details, and ultimately a more refined product.

The shortest answer is anything except light shades (other than brown), grays, and white. Jewel tones and their like are ideal, along with any kind of brown. I get 98% of my leather undyed and have a growing collection of dyes. I can mix and adjust the dyes to get pretty close to any hue. However, traditional vegetable-tanned leather does not take light colors well, other than sometimes yellows and other brown-like hues.
Also, traditional leather darkens with use, which is one of its greatest qualities, but also means I can’t promise colorfastness. Allow your piece to age with you and your lifestyle!

The starting prices for Products include the “standard” leather options (usually cow, goat, or horse) and what I consider the essential features, usually those pictured. This price also includes minor modifications or customizations, like stamped initials, as well as shipping to the lower 48 States.
Major modifications to a product, completely new products, custom stamping, or more exotic materials (e.g. alligator) will affect the price accordingly.

I ship for no additional charge via USPS to the lower 48 United States. Rush shipping, other carriers, or shipping outside the lower 48 are charged according to the best rates I can find which suit your needs.
